Founded in 1908, the Schorg Simmental Family has been a proud part of Remsen, Iowa, for over a century. Since 1980, we’ve been dedicated to raising high-quality Simmental cattle and donkeys. Our farm is committed to excellence in livestock breeding and raising, with a focus on producing top-tier bulls and heifers.

Gomer Bull's for Heat Detection

A gomer bull, also known as a teaser bull, is a specially prepared bull used to help detect when cows are in heat for breeding purposes. These bulls are typically surgically altered to prevent reproduction while maintaining their natural breeding behavior. This allows farmers and breeders to accurately identify cows ready for artificial insemination or natural breeding without risk of unintended pregnancies. Gomer bulls play an important role in improving herd fertility management, increasing breeding efficiency, and ensuring more precise timing for conception.
